An aerial photo of your operation is required by SNMP for field mapping. Though optional, soil information is recommended. The following links provide a resource for retrieving soil and photo (DOQQ) data for use in SNMP.
Download Missouri Data
Use this link to retrieve aerial photos (DOQQs) and soil data within Missouri from the CARES Map
Room. Once the map is visible, use the Zoom In
tool to
focus the map on your operation. When you have located your operation, use the SNMP Data
tool
to create a downloadable file containing the desired soils and/or aerial photos.
Then be sure to select "SNMP Download" from menu on the right-hand side of your screen.
Download Data for states outside Missouri
Use these links to retrieve soils data and aerial photos from USDA-NRCS if your farm lies outside Missouri. You will not be charged for the service or receive any other e-mails.
